Double-check your calendar!

Our Kindergarten Poetry Party is on May 23 from 2:30-3:15.  Our class will recite a few poems together and then each child will recite a poem or two that he/she wrote.  It is my goal that EACH child has at least one parent in attendance.  If this is not possible, please consider asking a grandparent, other relative, or a special family friend to attend in your place.  Please know that parents, siblings, grandparents, relatives, and special family friends are invited as well to our Poetry Party.  Afterwards, we will share our poetry books with you and then enjoy some ice cream on the courtyard.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you, as always, for all of your support!

A very special reader!

This past Friday we had a very special reader come to our classroom.  Luke's brother, Jack, came to our classroom and read Franklin Rides a Bike to the children.  He talked to children about the importance of never giving up and to always keep trying!  The children really enjoyed having Luke's BIG brother come to see us.  I was Jack's 1st grade teacher many years ago, so it was fun for me, as well, to see what a wonderful young man he has grown to be:)
